Tristano – to nazwisko, które wywołuje zamieszanie na scenie klubowej, ale też szmer niepokoju w klasycznych salach koncertowych. Purystom gatunków trudno zakwalifikować młodego artystę z Luksemburga do jednej z przegródek muzycznego katalogu.
Tristano is a name that heckles the club scene, yet also draws a murmur of concern in classic concert halls. Genre purists find it hard to label this young artist from Luxemburg with just one musical genre.
Francesco Tristiano was born in 1981, and at the age of five he discovered the piano, at the age of eight he played his first concert featuring his own compositions. He gave concerts with the most excellent orchestras in Moscow, Berlin and Hanoi. Even back then he broke from classical convention, experimenting with the sound of piano and strings. Living in New York opened his ears to electronic and club music.
To date he has released 12 albums. In his vast range of interest live Bach’s Goldberg Variations, Frescobaldi’s baroque compositions, and techno, which he arranges for the piano. Tristiano combines epochs and styles, mixes sounds, and does this with due respect for tradition, and with an open mind to whatever is new, intriguing and unconventional.
