It’s time we met the biggest troublemakers in the orchestra. The percussion instruments couldn’t sit still on stage, and the moment we looked away, they escaped into the dense, lively jungle. To find them, we will have to listen carefully and follow the sounds of percussion rhythms. We hope the jungle inhabitants will help us find the runaway instruments and that the fierce King Gorilla won’t notice how many intruders have visited his kingdom this Sunday morning.
In the first season of the Young Music Lovers’ Academy, young and slightly older music enthusiasts will get an in-depth introduction to the symphony orchestra. Is the orchestra one big family, or does it consist of several instrumental clans? What temperaments and talents do its individual sections hide? Among their strings, keys, mouthpieces, and reeds, the instruments conceal countless musical stories. Especially for children, they have agreed to tell the most beautiful ones.
The best way to build a friendship with classical music is to understand it and meet it live regularly. Each concert offers the audience a hefty dose of knowledge, illustrated by the most beautiful works of classical music and framed in fairy tale stories accessible to children.
