The contemporary world has increasingly recognised the need to preserve and nurture cultural memory, which forms the foundation of our identity and heritage. In the pursuit of understanding and maintaining our roots, music stands out as a unique tool with the potential to animate cultural memory and play a crucial role in transmitting traditions, emotions, and history. Seniors will be able to participate in chamber concerts, which can benefit their mental health and well-being. Musicians from music schools of I and II degree in Szczecin will present themselves in the chamber concerts titled Consonances.
Consonance in musical literature refers to an interval that sounds consonant and harmonious. It is a simultaneous sounding of at least two notes of different pitches. In this context, seniors and youth from music schools symbolize two notes that, despite many differences, harmonise with each other. Contact with instrumental music is an excellent way to broaden musical horizons. It fosters sensitivity and imagination while developing the skills of active listening. The themes and format of chamber music sessions allow listeners to discover the qualities of live music performances.
