If Baroque music seems as fresh and alive to us today as it did three centuries ago, it is largely due to the colourful, rhythmic and dynamic scores left to us by the Baroque masters. This evening we will take a journey through the musical universe of this exceptional era.

What did Baroque music sound like and how did it differ from each other in different countries of Europe at that time? Who taught to play the violin and who was the dancing master? Did folk music influence court music? And finally – did all the sons of the pious Johann Sebastian Bach lead a "proper" compositional life and write works according to the rules? We will discover Polish themes in Telemann's work, immerse ourselves in the Sicilian rhythms of Vivaldi, listen to the sentimental stories of Wilhelm Friedmann Bach – the eldest of Johann Sebastian's sons, and discover the charm of the French and Turkish dances of Rebel and Fux. The Cornu Copiae Baroque Orchestra (Latin for Horn of Plenty) will take us on this extraordinary journey through Baroque Europe. Its musicians are specialists in historical performance – graduates of the best Polish and foreign universities, but above all committed and passionate artists. The ensemble's favorite repertoire is concerts for many instruments and pieces in which each musician has the opportunity to show their musical individuality. In addition to the musical layer, stories and anecdotes about composers, pieces and customs of the era play an important role in the orchestra's concerts.
