The tour takes about 30 minutes, beginning in the lobby, via the chamber hall, 4th Floor, symphonic hall and finishes at the Philharmonic shop, where souvenirs can be purchased. Individual tourists (small groups, families) can take part in the tours, which take place for any number of visitors turning up on a particular day. The Philharmonic building in Szczecin became the inspiration to create the exhibition “Architecture is the Music of Space”. The architect Robert Konieczny created an installation comprising portraits of five of the world’s unique concert halls and comments by their creators and directors. The exhibition on the 4th Floor is accompanied by an artistic project by Katarzyna Karkowiak, a sound collector. “As if nothing could fall but the sun” is another presentation in the lobby consisting of sounds inspired by the building and a video presentation based on the movement of characteristic gold flakes. Both pieces will be available to the public on Sunday (10th July) from 10:00 to 16:00, as well as from 14th July through the whole summer every Thursday from 17:00. The exhibition will run until 10th September. Admission is free of charge.
In August, the FilmHarmony series (screenings of world cinema) will return to the Philharmonic. This time on Wednesdays at 21:00. In the cosy space of the lobby, there will be a chance to relax on previously prepared beach chairs and enjoy FOC film screenings. More information soon.
In July and August the Pauza cafe located in the lobby of the Philharmonic will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00.
The ticket office will be open Tuesday to Sunday from 13:00 to 17:00 (6th July to 12th August).
