From Sunday to Sunday, from the youngest to the oldest, music lovers will have the opportunity to participate in a unique presentation of the history of Polish music. From November 4th to 11th, WE ARE HOME at the Philharmonic in Szczecin. Tickets for all events are available at the Ticket Office of the Philharmonic and on our website.
The week will start with a family concert, and the next days will be filled with the history of Polish jazz in a nutshell, a presentation of Polish folklore, Polish chamber music performed by outstanding virtuosos, a new approach to sound taken by contemporary composers creating on other musical levels, a historical look at Moniuszko's national opera. Everything will end with the concert on November 11th. "100/100 | Musical decades of freedom | Górecki".
4th November, Family concert
HERE
Pieces from the album "And they lived long and in Szczecin" in a new version. The audience gathered in the golden hall of the Philharmonic, representing different generations, among others, will take part in the joint performance of the song "Here" from the album "And they lived long and in Szczecin" released in 2017 by the Philharmonic in Szczecin. The song is about attachment to the place where one lives, and its message helps to understand the historical context related to local patriotism and awareness.

5th November, Jazz concert
EVERYWHERE | Subjective history of Polish Jazz
The variety of artists who will perform during the concert confirms that jazz is a genre which does not like pigeonholing the most in the world. Jazzpospolita, Atom String Quartet, Gaba Kulka, Tomasz Dąbrowski and Maciej Obara will subjectively lead us through the history of Polish Jazz, thus referring to its most important moments.

6th November, Traditional concert
FROM OVER THERE | Shades of Poland
A look at Polish traditional music. The performers of the concert include instrumentalists and singers from various regions of Poland, who will prove on this day how unique Polish traditional music is in comparison to other European cultures. Each of them will focus on a different aspect of tradition, bring their own energy, colour and unique sound. All these elements will constitute a "living picture" of the harmony of the spheres – in a folk edition.

7th November, Chamber concert
FOREVER | Kulka | Strahl | Jabłoński
Konstanty Andrzej Kulka (violin), Tomasz Strahl (cello), Krzysztof Jabłoński (piano) – three exceptional soloists, ambassadors of Polish musical art who, for years, have successfully been joining their forces and their virtuosity gathering crowds in concert halls. During the concert at the Philharmonic in Szczecin, we will have an opportunity to listen to a less known, chamber-like side of Chopin's music.

8th November, Electronic music concert
NOW | Stańczyk | Zamilska | LAB 2_El-Polska
The premiere performance of a piece written especially for the Philharmonic in Szczecin by composer Marcin Stańczyk. In addition to the author of the composition, Natalia Zamilska and the musicians of Ensemble Musikfabrik will also perform, while the Lobby of the Philharmonic will become the stage of a unique musical and visual spectacle.

9th November, Early music concert
EARLIER | Vilnius Halka
On the stage of the Szczecin Philharmonic, the Vilnius version of Stanisław Moniuszko's "Halka" will be performed with the use of traditional historical instruments. Listeners of the concert will have an incredible opportunity to move in time to the salon of the Müllers’, the in-laws of Moniuszko, where the concert version of the opera was heard for the first time. The members of the early music ensemble Capella Cracoviensis under the direction of Jan Tomasz Adamus will take care of the fidelity to the historical sounds.

10th November, Workshops
State – city
Workshops for children aged 6 and more, who will work on various stage forms. Members of each group, under the watchful eye of experienced educators and specialists from each field, will simultaneously participate in workshops on singing, dancing and playing instruments, to perform together during the grand finale the song "Here". The workshops will be summarized by a film documenting and showing the joint work of the youngest over the creative interpretation of local patriotism and belonging to the place.

10th November, hip-hop
Who are you
For professionals and amateurs, film enthusiasts, youtubers and all those with an open mind – the finale of the YouTube film etude competition. From among the submitted clips for the “Who are are” competition, the most interesting ones interpreting the motto of the competition will be selected and shown to the audience. The whole will be concluded with a concert that has not yet taken place in the Philharmonic – a hip-hop concert.

11th November, Symphonic concert 100 for 100 | Musical Decades of Freedom | Górecki
One of the final concerts broadcast by Polish Radio Programme 2 will also take place in Szczecin. On November 11th at 19:00 the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra will perform the "Symphony of Sorrowful Songs" by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, a piece that brought the composer global popularity – unprecedented in the world of contemporary music. The musicians will be led by one of the most respected and well-known Polish conductors – maestro Jerzy Maksymiuk while the vocal parts will be performed by Elżbieta Szmytka.

Musical Decades of Freedom” on the 11th November, co-organized by PWM Edition to celebrate the centenary of Poland regaining independence is held under the National Patronage of Andrzej Duda, the President of the Republic of Poland to mark the Centenary of Regaining Independence and financed by the Ministry Of Culture and National Heritage as part of the Multi-Annual Programme “NIEPODLEGŁA” 2017-2021.
