Enthusiasm, humour and musicianship give these five great musicians from Canadian Brass their unquestioned place on the world map of wind music. They have been touring since 1970. Their wide repertoire encompasses popular classical and contemporary pieces, as well as several written especially for them.
The band is known world-wide, having released over 90 albums with overall sales topping 2 million. Canadian Brass have given their concerts on all continents. They have been the first western “brass” band to perform in PRC, and at the Carnegie Hall. Many a time, they have been invited by the Canadian government to play for heads of states visiting their country. According to many fans, next to the red maple leaf, they are a true symbol of Canada.
The musicians are very well practiced at live performances. They enjoy direct contact with the audience and create a most memorable atmosphere during their concerts. Spontaneity, positive energy, music performed passionately and effortlessly are all the hallmarks of Canadian Brass performances on stage.
